In this clinical case, the professionals performed tooth whitening and then the restoration with aesthetic veneers, using composite resin and associated whitening technique.

Initial evaluation
When performing anamnesis and clinical examination, satisfactory gingival health was found. In line with the patient’s complaints, the possibility of whitening, restorations in teeth 12, 11, 21, and 22 of unsatisfactory shape and dental disproportion in the upper incisors was observed.
To assist in the planning, photographic documentation, and molding of upper and lower study was conducted for making whitening trays and diagnostic wax-up.
Treatment performed
As an initial stage of the treatment, prophylaxis and the take-home whitening stage was performed with Whiteness Perfect 10% for three weeks, with personalized treatment for two hours a day. In the in-office whitening stage, a session with Whiteness HP Blue 35% was performed in a single application for 40 minutes.
The restorative stage was waited 15 days. When performing the color analysis of the teeth, the composite resins EBL3, DA1, and Trans N of the Vittra APS line and the color T of the Opallis Flow line were selected. After absolute isolation, the palatal shells were made with a thin layer of Vittra APS Trans N resin, followed by the mamelons with DA1, filling of the incisal with Opallis Flow T color to give a more translucent aspect to the restorations and finished with Vittra APS resin in EBL3 color in a single vestibular layer.

1 | Initial shade taking.
2 | Instruction for use for the patient of the correct amount of application of the whitening gel
3 | Gingival barrier with Top Dam and Whiteness HP Blue whitening gel application.
4 | Whitening gel applied.
5 | After 15 days, shade taking was performed to perform the restorations.
6 and 7 | Front and profile aspect after removal of previous restorations
8 | Installation of absolute isolation to provide further control of the operating field.
9 and 10 | Acid etching of the enamel with Condac 37 and application of the Ambar APS adhesive system.
11 | The palatal shell was made with Vittra APS Trans N resin with a silicone guide, according to the diagnostic wax-up.
12 | Volume dentin and mamelons made with DA1 Vittra APS
13 | Filling and incisal volume with the Opallis Flow line T color to give a translucent aspect in the incisal third.
14 | Final increment of vestibular enamel with the EBL3 color of Vittra APS resin.
